Giving Back - our charitable donations

No matter how hard we work in education and training, we're always aware of the privileges we enjoy in having access to lifelong learning.

From 1 January 2009, Flexible Text Limited will be donating a percentage of everything it earns to those who work to make education a right rather than a privilege in less developed countries. Our first project is a modest one - to fund a teacher's salary in India for as long as we can by donating to Christian Aid. For more, visit Christian Aid's website.

So why not join us? Work with us and we'll all be making an even greater contribution to world learning.

Bite-sized chunks...

Perhaps it’s the influence of the media and the web, but learners seem to have lost the quality of perseverance. Learning, as a result, is more palatable if delivered in small chunks. Because of this, we all welcome the new Qualifications and Curriculum Framework. The framework is a new way of recognising skills and qualifications. It does this by awarding credit for qualifications and units (small steps of learning). It enables people to gain qualifications at their own pace along flexible routes. For more, visit www.qca.org.uk/qca_8150.aspx. All of the learning created by Flexible Text is based on the principles of bite-sized chunks.

The Death of Lifelong Learning?
